Erwan Boulloud
Erwan Boulloud (b. 1973) attended the prestigious Ecole Boulle in Paris, where he developed his skill in the fine and applied arts that would provide the foundation for his career. After graduating in 1995, Boulloud worked as a set designer for the collections at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (le CNAM), The Louvre, and the Museum of Natural History - all renowned Parisian institutions. By the time he opened his own workshop in 2003, Boulloud was recognized for his highly artistic approach to furniture craftsmanship. His method centers around a strong core balanced by a sophisticated finishing that transcends material stiffness, drawing sculptural elements out of functional objects. Erwan Boulloud’s works are all hand made in the artist’s Atelier in Pantin, northeast of Paris.
